A cloroquina NÃO diminuiu #covid19 mortalidade.’
HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE – Recovery trial results finally out – and hopefully puts nail in coffin. Out of 4700 people randomized… HCQ did NOT lower #covid19 mortality. It anything it was trending in wrong direction. Thread ? https://t.co/6Iu0NEejON pic.twitter.com/6l85Nmz4id

3) “Patients allocated to hydroxychloroquine were less likely 40 to be discharged from hospital alive within 28 days (60.3% vs. 62.8%; rate ratio 0.92)”. So hospital discharge is actually bad for HCQ. pic.twitter.com/z9myA4eBXV

5) Bottomline- HCQ didn’t lower mortality. If anything, those randomized to HCQ were discharged from hospital SLOWER than usual care controls. And those randomized to HCQ were ventilated/died (composite) more quickly. No diff by age, gender, early/late, and by severity. #covid19

7) I’ve probably looked at tens of thousands of trial reports in my life, many junk, many okay, some excellent. This RECOVERY trial rates among one of the top class trials—they also did the big dexamethasone trial. More Recovery data coming. Stay tuned. https://t.co/ac3unB5ML3
